2018 Media Form (pdf)
The City of Liberty and the Liberty Festival and Events Committee are in the process of planning the 2018 Liberty Christmas Parade, “A Candy Cane Christmas”. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., with a rain date of Friday, December 7, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. We very much appreciate those of you who have participated in the Liberty
Christmas Parade in the past and hope you will consider being a part of this year’s event.
This year’s parade will wrap around the theme, “A Candy Cane Christmas”. We are
encouraging businesses, service groups, churches, school groups, organizations and the
community to become involved in this year’s parade and incorporate Candy Canes into your
entry. We will be judging performance and float entries and will have an MC to announce your
entry as you approach the judges’ platform on Commerce Street. Your parade entry does not
have to be elaborate it can be fun and simple. (Example: Dog Kennels can walk dogs; Service
organization members can ride in a vehicle) Come out and show your support to our
community and promote the Christmas spirit!
This entry packet will give you lots of information about the parade including guidelines and
entry form. Answers to many of your questions can be found within this packet and will make
your participation in our parade more enjoyable. Please complete the entry form and media
information outline and return both forms to: Liberty Festival & Events Committee, Attn: Jan
Petersen, PO Box 396, Liberty, SC 29657 or email: email@example.com The Deadline for
entries is Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Any entries that are not registered by the deadline may participate in the parade but your entry will not be announced by the MC.
Your participation will help guarantee the success of our parade. Thank you for participating!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
